The mission of the Virginia Military Youth Network (VMYN) is to build Virginia’s capacity to support the children and youth of Military Families who have served or are currently serving our nation.
The Virginia Military Youth Network blog is an online space to enhance the communication in support of Virginia’s military children and youth. Virginia is home to more than 142,000 military children and youth from diverse backgrounds.

Virginia is home to 125,418 Active Duty members, ranking 3rd highest in the nation. They represent the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy at 20 military installations.
Virginia is also home to an additional 25,325 Selected Reserve members, ranking 8th highest in the nation. They represent the Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Coast Guard Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and the Navy Reserve at 35 National Guard Armories and 31 Reserve Centers.
